About SIM Bangladesh

SIM-Bangladesh is a Christian-based international non-government organization, registered in Bangladesh in 1980.

Along with other projects, SIM-Bangladesh has worked for 23 years on a project that tests water for arsenic in highly affected areas, and provides safe water to people who need it.

They identify nearby safe sources of water, or they provide filters that remove the arsenic. Such filters only cost $25 (households pay $5, remainder covered by project funds), and last five years or more. The filters are made locally, with local materials.

SIM’s work has helped and saved thousands of lives, but they work only in a small area.  We have partnered with SIM Bangladesh and have expanded that area so many more people will be helped.
