The Future
If arsenic is not addressed it will continue to cause many, many health problems, especially amongst the poor.
These would include: increased cancers, diabetes, reduced mental ability, especially among the young, heart and lung problems and many other problems.
It will contribute to continuing cycles of proverty, fleeing to overcrowded urban areas, social instability.
A doctor in the new project area looks at a man's hand for signs of arsenic poisoning. Many people can be helped with early medical intervention, something this project helps with.
