Walking to a village area that has high arsenic levels. Many of the villages have a great sense of beauty such as this one. Below see how the arsenic program occurs inside such a village.
1. Education
The program educates people about the symptoms & how to access safe water.
2. Testing
Field workers use portable test kits to test wells in
the village.
3. Clean Water
If the water is over the safely limit,
offer arsenic removal filter (at subsidized cost) or point out safe
water supply close by.
4. Patient Mangement Program
Offer 3 year program where patients are helped with medical care including diet, antioxidants & supplements. Three-year relationship helps to build compliance, which is critical.
